Main uses

      HYCQ5 series double power automatic transfer switch is used in AC 50Hz, rated voltagebelow 690V two power supply system. It can make a automatic transfer between normalpower and reserve power but without manual operation. This switch accords with thefollowing terms of national GB/T14048. 11<<automatic transfer switch>>standards:

◆  Operating mechanism should have reliable electrical and mechanical interlocking, in order to prevent concurrent access to the
     normal power and reserve power.
◆  When the voltage of detected any phase and all the phases of the normal power interrupt in ascheduled time. HYCQ5 will swithch
     to connect the load from normal power to reserve power, and when the normal power goes back to normal, it will automatically
     connect the load to the normal power(with phase failure protection function).
◆  Switch can setting switching voltage range when power fall according to user requirements.

It has three steady working states:
State 1: common power switch on, standby power off;
State 2: common power switch off, standby power on;
State 3: common power off, standby power off.

Main structure's working principle

  The main structures of switch as drawing 2 showing

 

      Drawing 2 N is the normal power, R is the reserve power. Qn is circuit breaker for the normal power, Qr is circuit breaker for the reserve power. Betwwen of them, there is Mechanical in terlock ing double protection. The controller consist of four parts: voltage identiry, phase failure protection, delay and control.Voltage identify and phase failure protection connect the input terminals of the normal power. When the normal power is normal, The switch work in automatic gearshift, no matter what state the Qr are. Qr is off and Qn is on to insure the normal power switching on the load. When the normal power has problem (such as loss of voltage, undervoltage, phase failure), in a certain period of time,The switch will make the load connect the reserve power from the normal power. When the normal power return to normal, then the switch will make the load connect the normal power.
      The molded case circuit breaker of the HYCQ5 switch can be 3 poles or 4 poles, can be automatic or manual operation and can realize the load changing-over automatically or compulsively. According to the demand of customers, the normal power indication, the reserve power indication, the normal power trippingindication and teh reserve power tripping indication all connect from external terminals which lead to control panel. For self put in without self restoring, the reset button can also be eduction from external terminal.
      This series automatic transfer switch plots simple, no need to draw up secondary connection diagram, so convenience project design greatly. It is recommended to use the design of drawing 3 annotation diagram. If the customer need the power instructions and circuit breaker closing instructions in outer of screen,please tell us when you order. ◆  H1,H2,H3,H4 are respectively indicator of Normal power circuit breaker closing,Reserve power circuit
breaker closing,Normal power circuitbreaker tripping and Reserve power circuit breaker tripping.

◆  8 is null line of Normal power(3poles), 9 is null line of Reserve power(3poles)

Display description

      This dual-power transfer switch has "Manual" function for manual switching between the normal power and reserve power, and "Automatic" function for automatic switching between the two power supplies, as well as word display such as "Automatic", "Manual", "Normal power undervoltage", "Normal power overvoltage", "Normal power on", "Normal power tripping", Reserve power undervoltage", "Reserve power overvoltage", "Reserve power on", "Reserve power tripping".
◆  When the normal and reserve power supplies supply power simultaneously, if the normal power voltage is higher than 115% or
      lower than 85% of the rated voltage, the dual-power switching system will judge it as fault and transfer to the reserve power supply
     automatically, and display "Normal power overvoltage" or "Normal power undervoltage".
◆  When the normal and reserve power supplies supply power simultaneously, if the normal power voltage is higher than 115% or
     lower than 85% of the rated voltage, the dual-power switching system will judge it as fault and transfer to the normal power supply
     automatically, and display "Reserve power overvoltage" or "Normal power undervoltage".
◆  In normal power supply state, the circuit breaker trips due to voerload or short circuit, it will display "Normal power tripping".
◆  In reserve power supply state, the circuit breaker trips due to voerload or short circuit, it will display "Reserve power tripping".

 

 

Key operation description

In manual state:
  Press the normal power key until hearing the beep sound, to switch to the normal power supply.
  Press the reserve power key until hearing the beep sound, to switch to the reserve power supply.

In automatic state:
  When both the normal and reserve power supplies are regular,the dual-power system will transfer to normal power supply
      automatically, and display automatic normal power on.

  When the normal power supply is failed, the dual-power system will transfer to reserve power supply automatically, and display
      normal power undervoltage and automatic reserve power on.
  When the reserve power supply is failed, the dual-power system will transfer to normal power supply automatically, and display
      reserve power undervoltage and automatic normal
  Press the double-breaking key until hearing the beep sound, to break the two circuits.
  Press the automatic key until hearing the beep sound, to turn the system into automatic operation.

Control functions of the intelligent automatic controller

  Mode of auto-switch-in auto-restoring is suitable for power grid-power grid. The intelligent automatic controller carries out
     automatic switching between the two circuits of power supply(i.e. normal and reserve power supplies), power supplied by the
     normal power supply under normal condition, and transfer to the reserve power supply automatically after the preset time delay
     (adjustable) once the normal power is failed or is abnormal (any one group of voltage occurs overvoltage,undervoltage, no-voltage
     or open-phase), and return to the normal power supply automatically after the preset time delay (adjustable) when the normal
     power supply recovers.

  Mode of auto-switch-in without auto-restoring is suitable for power grid-power grid. The automatic controller with mode of
     auto-switch-in without auto-restoring carries out automatic switching between the two circuits of power supply (i.e. normal and
     reserve power supplies). It transfers to the other normally
operated power supply after the preset time delay when one power
    supply is abnormal (any one group of voltage occurs overvoltage, undervoltage or open-phase), and will not restore automatically
    when the abnormal one recovers.

Power grid-generator, when it is used in the power gridgenerating system, the automatic controller catrries out switching between
    the power grid and generator. When teh power grid voltage is lower than 85% of the rated voltage, the controller sends out power
    generation command (output by one group of NO NC contacts). when teh generating voltage reaches 85% of the rated voltage. it
    cuts off the load circuit from the power grid first, then put through the generating power supply after time delay. When the power grid
   recovers normal (reaches 85% above of the rated voltage), the controller will cut off the loads from the generating power supply and
   transfer to the power grid automatically through intelligent logical judgment.

Breakdown maintenance

1. No response after startup, the electric operating mechanism not work by pressing the command key, please check the
    connection condition of power lines of circuit breaker as well as the special cables.
2. After power on, each phase voltage is normal, but the panel displays under voltage, please check to see whether the power supply
   of circuit breaker has been well connected, whether there is open-phase phenomenon; check whenther the fuse wire on device body
   is burnt out for too heavy current of electric operating mechanism, if yes, just change it.
3. If the fuse tubes are burnt out often, please check whether the electric operating mechanism is blocked, and adjust it properly.

 

 

Notices

1. Please carry out periodic inspection and maintenance to the intelligent system according to the requirements of circuit breaker and
    electric operating mechanism. The intelligent controller is maintenance free under normal operating conditions.
2. The intelligent system should be protected from moisture or dust for long term service, and should be well debugged according to
    the abovementioned content before putting into operation.
